Most advertise for bad credit and tell you not to worry, they can find an auto loan that is right for you.  The reason they can do this is they have access to a huge database for companies that offer auto loans.  Dealerships have contracts with specific lenders and are not allowed to go out of that scope.  You see the benefit to maybe not seeking financing with the dealership?

If you already know you have challenged credit when seeking a car loan and financing, go online and see what can be offered to you.  The frustration of setting in a dealership with all kinds of uncomfortable questions will not detour you from your dream of a new or used vehicle.  If you can afford the payments, you will find financing.  So go for it, look for the perfect financing.  If you are patient you will find it.
